Muffin or Cupcakes?

I find this recipe from someone’s blog.
This recipe call muffin for this cake.
I think method for this muffin is not common method for baking muffins.
When I decide to try this recipe, I’m not sure for success in baking this cakes.
Finally, this muffin have good taste. The texture moist & soft.
But, I’m still not certain if this cake should call as muffin.
According one of article about muffin and cup cakes.
Proportion for muffin should be 2 cups flour, 1/4 cup fat and 1 egg.
But this recipe have 1 cup fat and 4 flour (its should be cake like, according that article).

Ingredients :

    * 2 1/2 cups flour
    * 1 cup butter
    * 1/2 cup water
    * 1/4 sdt salt
    * 4 eggs
    * 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
    * 1 tbs baking powder
    * 1/2 cup dry ingredients (e.g. chocolate chips, nuts, etc.)
    * 1/2 tsp vanilla ekstrak

Method :

  1. Boil butter, water and salt.
  2. Pour butter mixture into flour. Mix slowly.
  3. Add vanilla extract.
  4. Add egg, one by one.
  5. Mix sugar and baking powder, pour into butter mixture. Mix well.
  6. Add other dry ingredients.
  7. Scoop batter to muffin pans.
  8. Oven at 320°F

Passion Fruit Muffin 

I love to bake muffin. My children love to eat too emoticon
Muffin can be baked with a lot of variations.
This time, I use passion fruit syrup as ingredients.

Passion Fruit Muffin 

Ingredients :

    * 85 ml salad oil
    * 85 gr granulated sugar
    * 50 ml passion fruit syrup
    * 2 eggs
    * 200 gr flour
    * 1/4 tsp baking soda
    * 70 gr margarin or butter, melted
    * 1/8 tsp salt
    * 30 gr meises  or chocolate chips

Method :

   1. Mix oil, sugar, syrup and eggs until soft.
   2. Pour melted margarin. Mix well.
   3. Add Flour, baking soda, salt and chocolate chips. Mix well.
   4. Pour batter into muffin pan.
   5. Bake for 25 minutes at 360ºF
